URGENT PHISHING ALERT!

One of our members has reported an email phising attempt using the name Reliant in the email. Be sure to contact Reliant if you receive one of these emails.

During the last few weeks, there have been multiple “Phishing” scams that are initiated via e-mail sent to both the general public and to some Reliant Federal Credit Union members that appeared to be from the NCUA or other credit union entity. This false e-mail asked for the recipient to click on a link to confirm their credit or debit card information. If the recipient proceeded to do so, the link directed them to a false web-site and asked for their account number and PIN.

While we have heard from members who correctly determined that they should not respond to any suspicious e-mail, there may have been some members who did. If you received any e-mail and did respond with your confidential account information please change your PIN immediately and contact Patti Sorenson, Reliant Federal Credit Unions Executive Vice President at 307-234-1429, ext. 182.

Please be assured that this incident did not involve any breach of Reliant Federal Credit Unions’ member database or information systems. Reliant FCU takes the security of your account very seriously and will continue to educate our members of these kinds of scams. We would like to remind our members to review their accounts on a regular basis and alert Reliant FCU if they see any unauthorized activity.
